Records indicate that between 1902
and 1925, 10 Alcorn was the site
of residential dwellings. Then,
between 1925 and 1950, 10 Alcorn became home to two hardware
companies, Walkers and Sons Ltd.
Wholesale Hardware and Whites
Hardware.
A variety of other
businesses have inhabited the
building since then – everything from a publisher and
printer in the 1950’s (Block Anderson Canada Ltd.) to
another hardware company (SHL
Hardware Ltd.) in the 1980’s.
Alcorn businesses currently include
lawyers, architects and the Canadian
Cancer Society.
